Losing one’s mother at any age is a devastating void; some embark on the journey of learning to live life without mom’s love and wisdom at a much earlier age. I lost my mom to stage four breast cancer when I was barely out of my teens, but I was somehow endowed with an inner strength I didn’t know I had at the time.
